Substance Painter

This project was completed during the class named "Advanced Zbrush" taught by Darrel Abney through AnimSchool. We were tasked to find a character design that was more on the realistic side as opposed to stylized. It was important that we choose something that showed enough skin to be able to proactice making skin detail.

We started by getting reference which is a file that would grow with more and more reference as the project progressed.

But the first pass at sculpting was not perfect and would take a lot more work to get right.

But eventually I would lock in the anatomy and likeness.

From there we worked on painting the skin color details in substance painter as well as getting the displacement maps from ZBrush.

Once the skin was dialed in, we got into working on the costume. This costume required some displacement maps as well to be able to use a lower poly models for clothing.

Last step was to use Xgen to make the hair and pose the model. This part took several iterations and was now crunch time to finish any parts of the project I hadn't gotten to yet.
